Farm Philly Volunteer Day & Tree Giveaway – May 14th

We will be hosting a free yard tree giveaway with our partners at TreePhilly as part of our usual volunteer night. Join us at the farm for a planting demonstration, and the opportunity to take a fruit tree home to plant in your yard! Tree varieties include fig, pomegranate, Asian persimmon, and plum.
Farm Philly invites you to join us at the Carousel House Farm every Tuesday from 5-7pm. We will be planting, weeding, and maintaining our crops as well as harvesting for our weekly food distribution.
This is an all-ages event. Please bring friends and family who’d like to get their hands in the dirt!
We will provide tools, gloves, and water. There is a bathroom on site. We suggest wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
Address: 4300 Avenue of the Republic, 19131 (down the street from the Mann). Street parking available. The farm is accessible by the 64, 38, 40, and 43 buses.
